A special commission composed of expert representatives of the technical orders of engineers, architects and bodies such as the Region, Superintendence for cultural heritage, harbor master’s office, university professors and experts.
Chaired by the engineer Luigi Martino, manager of the public works sector of the technical office, the commission evaluated the proposals received by the Comune in the sealed packages and after careful analysis, the architect Sergio Romeo declared the winner, who will be entrusted with the design of the first part of the works concerning the connection up to Cala Petrolo.
We\u00a0are satisfied with the assignment of the important project announcement that we strongly wanted because it allows us to create the pedestrian connection from the sea side of our castle, that is our splendid terrace overlooking the sea which is a drying area, up to Cala Petrolo – explains the\u00a0 Mayor Nicol\u00f2 Rizzo-. A panoramic and historical point that we value the most. The design of the announcement concerns the connection to the Playa beach but the sum available at the moment allows us to make the connection from the square of the castle to the sea up to Cala Petrolo. Our economic availability derives from having asked and obtained from the Civil Engineers of Trapani and from the regional Infrastructure Department, to use about 200 thousand euros set aside in the second portion of the works at the port for works not completed (for example the discovery of the so-called Queen”).
